A multi-generational family at Baker Beach (grandparents, parents, cousins, and a newborn Cass had photographed just months before as a maternity session). Everyone together this time. The cousins were the best part, genuine and easy with each other in the golden light.

Baker Beach was chaos that day. The Blue Angels were flying overhead, parking was a nightmare, the beach packed. Cass found the right pockets of soft light anyway (meadows away from the crowds, wildflower fields, the shallow water at golden hour with the Golden Gate Bridge catching the last sun). There’s always a workaround if you know where to look.

The kids in the iceplant. The toddlers eating berries. A father yawning with his newborn on his shoulder. This is what Cass came for (the real moments between the bigger ones, the texture of a family that knows each other).
