Freelance Photography Opportunities

Marin Mini Sessions occasionally works with freelance photographers to shoot sessions under our brand — family, newborn, maternity, and headshots, in-home and at outdoor locations around Marin County. If that sounds like you, I'd love to see your work.

What You'd Shoot

Sessions are lifestyle-focused — natural light, real moments, minimal posing. You'd be shooting one or more of: family sessions, in-home newborn sessions, maternity sessions, and headshot mini sessions, all under the Marin Mini Sessions style and process.

What We're Looking For

Independent Contractor Status

You'd work as a 1099 independent contractor and sign a standard contractor agreement before booking any sessions. You're responsible for your own taxes and business expenses.

Your Own Gear

Professional camera and lenses of your own are preferred. If you're a strong fit otherwise, a limited gear-lending arrangement can be discussed — just mention it when you apply.

Reliable Transportation

Most sessions happen at clients' homes or outdoor locations across Marin County, so you'll need a reliable way to get there with your gear.

A Style That Fits

Send a portfolio or Instagram link. I'm looking for natural light, candid, unposed work — if that's already your style, we'll get along great.

Pay & Terms

Pay is a flat rate per session, discussed once I've reviewed your portfolio and the session type is confirmed. You're paid gross as an independent contractor. For any engagement of $250 or more, California law requires a written contract specifying the rate and a payment date — I'll always have one in place before you shoot, and payment is made within 30 days of the session.
