A father steadied his barefoot toddler in the tide pools while the Golden Gate Bridge glowed behind them. First-time parents, eager and present. They’d brought a little picnic setup to China Beach (the quieter alternative to Baker, less crowded, just as stunning).

Cass captured them everywhere that afternoon. Lifting their son skyward, both laughing. Walking him between them, his small hands in theirs, bright sun casting long shadows across the sand. A red gerbera daisy in tiny fingers. The light was golden, unhurried. Even as evening rolled in and the bridge caught the last glow, they stayed close (embracing on the wet sand, the sky dramatic above them).

China Beach delivered. It always does.
