This family brought a picnic blanket and a charcuterie board to the Tiburon waterfront. Their toddler wandered the grass in a denim jacket while Cass shot as the light turned soft and golden—that perfect hour before sunset when the bay and distant hills glow from behind.

Three sessions with this family started here. What made it work was how present they were. Not performing. Just existing together on the rocky shore, holding hands on the path, the parents leaning in to kiss their kid’s forehead while the moon rose over the water. Cass caught the ferry crossing the bay. Caught them silhouetted against the twilight sky. Caught the small moment of a toddler’s white socks against the textured ground.

Soft backlight, the bridge in the distance, a family that showed up ready to play.
