Ece showed up to Stinson Beach ready to move (barefoot in a cream gingham dress, already looking toward the rocks). We started on the sand in that golden afternoon light and basically just kept going from there, finding coves, climbing, the whole length of the beach.

Ece had brought a few outfits (white crop tops, a light blue one, a charcoal sweater) and we moved through all of them between the coves. She was completely relaxed between setups. Between the granite boulders she cradled her belly while the afternoon light came through the rocks behind her. At one point she laughed against the dark coastal rocks, hand raised, beaded earrings catching the sun. I barely had to do anything.

The black and whites from that day are the ones I keep coming back to. Her standing in a dark sweater, looking down, long hair across her shoulder, small hands resting on her belly. Nothing about it was posed. If you’re expecting and want something like this at Stinson Beach, I’d love to be there.
