Getting There
Parking is in the main lot. Get there early to grab a spot, then it’s a short walk to the trailhead.
The Mix
Land’s End has a bit of everything: ocean views, gnarled, wind-twisted cypress trees, sandy trails, and some of the prettiest coastal plants in San Francisco. Few spots pack in that much variety in one short walk.

What to Wear Here
Land’s End is cypress bark, pale trunks, sandy trail, and the deep green under the trees. A neutral base always works here: cream, oat, tan, soft grey, faded denim. If you want color, borrow it from the place. Rust, faded navy, olive, dusty rose. This spot takes a splash of color well: it’s a lot of browns and greens out there, so a warm accent works wonders, whether that’s a dress or a scarf. Nothing highlighter bright. My rule of thumb: if you’d come across the color naturally on a coastal hike, it will work. There’s more on my what to wear page, including a style guide you can download.
Timing
I run these sessions in the evening, when the light softens over the water and filters through the cypress grove.
